Linda Moffett

WPHS Class of 1966

Community & School District Volunteer

Linda Moffett moved to Delaware in 1966 and graduated from William Penn High School (WPHS) in 1970. She remained active with the school district as the mother of two children who attended schools starting from kindergarten.

Her daughter Stacey graduated from WPHS in 1991, and son Drew, in 1995. While her children were in school, Moffett served on the PTA, football, wrestling, music boosters and the Citizens Advisory Councils. As a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Moffett chaired and co-chaired the Relay for Life events for two years and was a member of Creative Mentoring for the Colonial School District for five years. From 2006 to the present, Moffett has served as Chair and Co-Chair of the Colonial Educational Foundation.

Moffett says because her children had such great experiences while attending school in Colonial, they were naturally drawn to education. Her daughter Stacey teaches Kindergarten at Lancashire Elementary in Brandywine School District & Drew started out as a biology teacher and is now Principal at Gunning Bedford Middle School. Moffett continues to volunteer for the districts where her children work because she believes it is important to help not only the students of today but the teachers as well.

When not volunteering, Moffett works as a full time Realtor with Patterson Schwartz-The Moffett Team. She has held various positions with the New Castle County Board of Realtors and is a Lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club, New Castle County Board of Realtors & Patterson Schwartz.
