LEE Jarmon

Colonial & Community Activist

Lee Jarmon has been a foot solider for the Colonial School District and his surrounding community for many years. His two children graduated from William Penn High School (WPHS) so Jarmon, a retiree from New Castle County as a Management and Productivity Manager, has volunteered his time to serve the school districtin many capacities.

Jarmon is an active member of the Colonial Financial Oversight Committee and the Legislative Committee. As President of the Overview Gardens Garfield Park Civic Association, Jarmon worked tirelessly to help pass the 2011 referendum, and he has since played a key role in facilitating meetings with local leaders and organizations that support the district.

Jarmon is President of the Community Coordinating Council, Inc. where he provides leadership to Colonial residents who need assistance resolving educational, social, and political issues. In addition, Jarmon is President of the Garfield Park Lending Library, Inc., a board member of the Police Athletic League of Delaware, a member of the 16th Democratic Representative Committee, and a lifetime member of the NAACP.

Jarmon is a member of Bethel AME Church where he was a former Sunday school teacher, President of the Board of Trustees (15 years), and member of the official board.
