Dr. Mike Conway

Chief Surgeon- Christiana Care Health System

Mike Conway is a product of the Colonial School District, having attended Carrie Downie Elementary School, Gunning Bedford Middle School, and William Penn High School (WPHS) where he graduated in 1979. Upon graduation from WPHS, Conway continued his education at the University of Delaware, graduating in 1983, and he graduated from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1989. Dr. Conway graduated from a five-year General Surgical Residency program as the Chief Surgical Resident at Christiana Care in 1994. During that time he returned to his roots, serving as the WPHS Football Team doctor for two years.

Dr. Conway started his practice as a General Surgeon in 1994 and continues serving patients as Chief of the General Surgery Section at Christiana Care Health System. He is currently President of the Delaware Surgical Group. Dr. Conway is also the Medical Director of the Surgical Physician Assistants at Christiana Care Health System, Co-Founder and Medical Director of Surgeons for Emergency Care, and Co-Founder and Medical Director of Christiana Hernia Center.

Dr. Conway is married to his loving wife Denise and has 2 children, Michael and Claire.
